The ban on Chinese apps will not be revoked soon including TikTok:

In response to the ban on 59 Chinese apps which included fastest growing social media app since 2017 named TikTok, its Chief Executive Kevin Mayer wrote a letter to Indian Government mentioning that the Chinese government has never requested user data of Indian TikTok users, nor would the company turn it over if asked.The ban is unlikely to be lifted soon and any legal challenge was unlikely to successful as Indian government has cited national security concerns for the ban.

Heavy rains likely to continue in Mumbai:

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had predicted heavy rains in Mumbai on Saturday and a red alert had been issued in Mumbai, Raigad and Ratnagiri. High tide hits Marine Drive in Mumbai as Mumbai’s civic body, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) warns people to stay away from the coast. A high tide of over 4.5 meters was witnessed in Mumbai at Marine Drive around 11:30 am today. The Mumbai Police has also advised citizens not to venture out of their homes.

Indian Covid 19 vaccines Covaxin and ZyCov-D ready for human trials:

Bharat Biotech had claimed on Monday to have successfully developed India’s first Covid-19 vaccine, Covaxin, and said it has the permission from the drug controller to start human clinical trials.ZydusCadila has also got approval from drug regulatory for its indigenously developed vaccine ZyCov-D to start human trials. The companies said they will begin the trials this month in more than 1000 subjects in multiple sites in India. There was hope but caution too as the Indian Council of Medical Research on Friday said it aims to launch the world’s first COVID-19 vaccine by August 15.
