India, China call for expeditious de-escalation along LAC:

The talks on Tuesday were the third time that Lt General Harinder Singh met his Chinese counterpart Maj General Liu Lin. The two sides are still a way away from reaching an understanding on a solution to the current tensions. India and China have emphasised the need for “an expeditious, phased and step wise de-escalation as a priority,” two people familiar with the senior military commander level talks that took place on Tuesday said.

Railways seeks private investment for running passenger trains over 109 pairs of routes:

Indian Railways on Wednesday said it has invited proposals to shortlist bidders and allow private companies run 151 modern passenger trains over 109 Origin Destination(OD) pairs of routes. The project would entail private sector investment of about ₹30,000 crore, an official statement said.

India to ban Chinese companies from highway projects, says Gadkari:

India will not allow Chinese companies to participate in highway projects, including those through joint ventures, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Wednesday amid border standoff with China.

Gadkari also said the government will ensure that Chinese investors are not entertained in various sectors like Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
